zkSync ERA, the new mainnet and an the airdrop is here

In recent times, much has been said about the Layer 2 Ethereum projects. But in 2023 a new development has begun to take hold. This is zkSync, a project that promises a lot. But what is zkSync? It is a blockchain that not only promises to use ZK technology but also to preserve all the advantages of Ethereum.

Will there be a zkSync airdrop?

At the time of writing this article, a zkSync token has not yet been released, but there is information coming from the developers that in the next few months or perhaps by 2024 the zkSync token could be released.
If this happens, there is a high probability of a zkSync airdrop distribution which could benefit early network operators, as happened recently with the Arbitrum airdrop.

ZkSync launched in March 2023 its mainnet called “ERA” which is the evolution of the previous network called “LITE”.
ZkSync Lite can be considered to be version 1 and now the recent release of Zksync ERA is version 2.

Is there a zkSync wallet?

The most practical way to interact with zksync ERA is through the Metamask Wallet.
For this, we must download the wallet, install it in our browser and configure the parameters to operate with “ERA”.

How to add zksyc to Metamask

A quick and automated way to do this is to go to the Chainlist Page. Find the zksync network. And add the Metamask wallet that we connect.

If we want to configure manually we can go to our Metamask, Add network, and place the following values:

Network Name: zkSync Era MAinnet

Network URL: https://mainnet.era.zksync.io

Chain ID: 324

Current Symbol: ETH

Block Explorer URL: https://explorer.zksync.io

Is zkSync on coinmarketcap?

Because the zkSync token has not been released yet, there are no reference values and no information available on coinmarketcap..
The fees in zkSync must be paid with ETH.

What zkSync bridge can I use?

To send funds to our zkSync ERA network you will need a Bridge. For this, you can use the official bridge.
On the official page of the project, we can find the option of the official Bridge. This Bridge will allow you to send funds from the Ethereum mainnet.

Another option is to use a bridge from other projects such as Orbiter Finance, which will allow funds to be sent from various networks.
It is important to pay attention that the funds should be sent to zkSync ERA network.
